Luxury vacation park 'The Dutch Palm'

to be launched within a year.

JWP Investments, owner of among others vacation park chain 'TopParken' is going to develop recreation park Dommelsvoort. Recently, the necessary agreements were signed by the municipality of Cuijk and this developer.

TopParken will be the developer of vacation park Dommelsvoort and will rename it to: The Dutch Palm. In the next three to five years, TopParken will build about 700 high-quality and luxurious vacation homes in the area adjacent to the Kraaijenbergse plassen. Here will be a vacation peninsula with many high-quality facilities reminiscent of the famous artificial Palm Islands in Dubai. Besides luxury and high-quality vacation homes and villas, numerous facilities for young and old will also be constructed, all with an eye for sustainability, quality and the beautiful surroundings. Within a period of one year, the first construction work will begin. The area will be developed in several phases. With approximately 75 hectares of land, this will be one of the largest vacation resorts in Europe.

Opportunities

.

The company sees opportunities in the Dommelsvoort area because at this location, on its own peninsula, a full and high-quality resort with many facilities can be developed. This does justice to the environment, the location and is unique for the Netherlands. TopParken labels the development and the area as a fantastic and unique expansion in its portfolio and wants to develop a leading area with a 'Dutch Palm Island' in the Netherlands that will put the surroundings of Cuijk and the Netherlands on the map as a special destination.

Quick start and implementation

The municipality of Cuijk is pleased with the cooperation with TopParken. Alderman Maarten Jilisen: "Dommelsvoort is a beautiful area with plenty of opportunities. It's fantastic that development is now proceeding so quickly with a plan that fits seamlessly with the area and our ambitions. Everything is ready for a quick start and implementation."

The area development in Dommelsvoort has a long history. What began with the selection of the developer Consortium Van Boekel BV (Zeeland) and ABC Vastgoed (Arnhem) in 2000, culminated in a legal conflict in 2016 because the construction of the recreational park by this developer was delayed. In contrast, the municipality had fulfilled all obligations, such as the pre-financing of land and development costs, the relocation of a badger family, the construction of infrastructure and the construction of the bridge. The zoning plan was also adopted in 2012. The new developer TopParken is taking over the rights and obligations of the former developer. The plans of the recreation company fit within the zoning plan and the previously established frameworks for the area.

Mayor Hillenaar of the municipality of Cuijk: "It is now mainly time to look ahead and take advantage of the opportunities of the area. We can't wait until the park is ready and the first guests come to enjoy the wetlands and our beautiful region."

TopParks

TopParken now has 20 of its own vacation parks, a number of which are still under development, and is a leading vacation provider in the field of distinctive vacation resorts in the Netherlands.
